Astroboy gets a cell phone makeover

Okay, to answer the two questions I’m sure you’ll have after seeing the image above:
Yes, that’s supposed to be Atom-kun, known internationally as Astroboy. And yes, the license owners know about it. In fact, this new interpretation of the iconic anime and manga character was given their blessing.
Astro-chub was illustrator Lily Franky’s version of Astroboy, especially commissioned to grace SoftBank’s new cellphone, the Atom-kun.
