Japanese Embassy in UK holds manga contest

If you’re over 14 years of age and live in the UK, you might like to know that the Japanese Embassy over there is holding its annual manga-writing (sorry, it’s just for writing, kids) contest, titled Manga Jiman 150, until the 26th of September.

Now I don’t much about art, but I do know what I like. And this painting, I like:

It’s Hisashi Tenmyouya’s RX-78-2 Kabuki-mono 2005 Version. It was made for Gundam-related a travelling exhibition in 2005, and was recently auctioned off by Christie’s International for a cool $4.8M HK dollars, or about $615,000 US.
