The ultra-popular and infinitessimably influential Weekly Shonen Jump comics magazine is turning 40 this year, and to celebrate they’ll be touring ten cities in Japan this fall with new anime specials featuring Dragon Ball, One Piece and at least one other anime/manga comics title.

Publisher Tokyopop has signed a deal with GoComics to distribute manga and comics titles through mobile phones.

Batman Anime opens on June 28!

Holy outsourcing Batman! After a long and well-received history of crossing over from comic form into animation, Batman gets the anime treatment in the upcoming Bruce Timm-produced Batman Gotham Knight.
