Now I don’t much about art, but I do know what I like. And this painting, I like:

It’s Hisashi Tenmyouya’s RX-78-2 Kabuki-mono 2005 Version. It was made for Gundam-related a travelling exhibition in 2005, and was recently auctioned off by Christie’s International for a cool $4.8M HK dollars, or about $615,000 US.

Mobile anime on yer phone

Video-capable cell phones can now download episodes of MoonPhase and Galaxy Railways via Red Planet’s Jump in Mobile Service, available to AT&T subscribers. Downloads will cost 99 cents each.
Sprint customers can also access anime on the their phone via the Zoovision service.

FUNimation picks up highly anticipated Romeo x Juliet

Fan-favorite anime epic Romeo x Juliet was acquired for US release by FUNimation Entertainment.
Directed by Fumitoshi Oisaki and produced by Studio Gonzo , Romeo x Juliet is a futuristic retelling of the classic Shakespeare tale.
The 24-episode run will be released in two 12-episode seasons beginning spring next year.
