Oga Kazuo is not your typical anime background artist. Besides having worked on some of Studio Ghibli’s masterpieces like My Neighbor Totoro, Pompoko and Princess Mononoke, Kazuo headlined an unprecedented exhibition of his animation background works. The exhibition attracted over 300,000 visitors and established him as a star in his own right.
