Gundam robot painting goes for $0.6M

It’s Hisashi Tenmyouya’s RX-78-2 Kabuki-mono 2005 Version. It was made for Gundam-related a travelling exhibition in 2005, and was recently auctioned off by Christie’s International for a cool $4.8M HK dollars, or about $615,000 US.
Now THAT’s sure to bring a sparkle to many a mecha-doodling teenager’s eye.
