Skye Lynn Budnick is a 21-year old Central Connecticut State University student. She is a member of the university’s anime club and is suffering from depression. Reportedly, the anime club was the only reason she stayed in school.

Recently, Budnick bought a one-way ticket to Japan with only a laptop and some cash in tow. Her relatives have reason to believe she intends to commit suicide in Japan, after watching the sakura leaves in Hokkaido.

Embassy officials have traced her last known location to an inn in Hokkaido, where she said her next destination was Sapporo.

Sapporo residents with information as to her whereabouts are requested to call the following number: (011) 641-1115

People in other countries may offer information as well, by calling 81-11-641-1115.
