Yeah, I know, why not, right? Can you really consider Asian film as a whole with anime film out of the picture? And yet–take a look at these stills. Not a single frame!

Financially and culturally speaking, anime makes a significant contribution to the continent’s overall film industry picture. And that contribution only gets larger with anime’s increasing influence.

So why leave it out of an Asian film festival? I can only guess.
