At least five new anime movies are shopping around for buyers at the Cannes Film Festival this year. Here’s a quick rundown of the notables:

Anime flick makes it to Newsweek Top 100 Films

Satoshi Kon’s surreal anime film Paprika was listed as one of the 100 Best Films by the Japanese edition of Newsweek magazine. It was one of only three Japanese made films to receive the honor, and the sole anime title.
Paprika is a suspense science-fiction story set in a dystopian future.
